We've been quiet... but very busy! There is a lot in the works. We've got almost 2/3rds of the albums remixed and mastered. You can get them nice and finalized in the shop. And you can still find the free downloadable MDR compilation and the 'Bafana Bafana!' song there too.

Just to give you a taste for what is coming up, we are working on networking and distribution in France and Europe. More on that very soon!

We've also recorded a new artist and are working on producing his second album! We hope that he will join the family and you will be able to get his first album and the upcoming one here on Mad Ducks Records!

We are still working with Eric for his first release. Writing and recording is going on and you can find some of the first songs on his page.

Finally, if you are in the Houston area, check the Covington page for future shows. There are a few pictures there already and a couple of demo songs.

Just finalized our first compilation! It is now available for free download at the shop! It's a mixture of all of our artists and all of our albums. You will also find some new songs which we are planing for the near future.

We've decided to update the site slowly and in pieces rather than even slower and in one big shot! We came to this conclusion because the coding of the site takes us away from creating more music for you! And trust us, there is a lot coming up!

So go straight to the shop, download the compilation or the Bafana Bafana! song or any of our other releases!

Who are the Mad Ducks?

Mad Ducks Records was established in 2000 to promote the release of 4Element's first album ‘Living Spirit’. The sole purpose of the label was to put out 4Element's music. After being dormant for almost 8 years, Mad Ducks Records was released into the wilderness of the music world. The technological advances of the last 8 years, especially the internet and the recording tools, are astonishing! At the genesis of Mad Ducks Records, the recording studio wasn't as portable and the world wasn't as connected as today! With those advances, the music world is awaiting the next step in its development and we believe that independence and creativity is the future. Artists are looking for that independence outside the system that has been in place for the past 40 years. The mission is no longer the millions of dollars or euros stuffed in the stockholders pockets. That should have never been the mission! The goal is to provide fresh and exciting music from artist who keep growing.

Independence needs guts and... yes, money. So we are not going to be a free download site. There is no future in that. How can a musician be fully creative if s/he has a full time job and can only spend 2 or 3 hours a day, if that, on music? How do you travel and play for fans? After all music is at its most beautiful when it's played in front of people, when the musician shares a memorable experience with the audience, with each listener. The idea is to use the new technologies available to musicians to make them independent from the big industrial media machine; to be in control of their own destiny and to be free to be creative. With the artists we support, Mad Ducks Records will keep growing and growing. To reach that goal, we need you! Everyone united for this music revolution!

We provide only downloads to minimize the use of plastics, paper, and fuel thus protecting our planet. This allows for new ways of distribution. Anyone in the World has access to the music. There is only one store. Not one store per country but one world store. It is fast to get your music; no need to wait for the pony express. This also lowers costs so we can extend those savings to you the customer and it allows us to invest more money to produce new albums, purchase new technology, pay the people who bring those great ideas to fruition, etc. That way everyone can focus on their craft and expand it! If there is a demand for CDs and vinyls, we will of course consider it with all the implications attached to having a physical format.

We hope to see you here very often and we are interested in your comments and suggestions. We need you to make this work and your input is important. Without you, the music will stay for ever buried! The sky is the limit... or rather our imagination is the limit!
