Erik's first album, dubbed Sunset (or Sunrise for some) was recorded back in 2000. It's Erik and his piano and nothing else, the moments of fury and energy and the moments of peacefulness and quiet. This album of 12 tracks, some as short as a couple of minutes and some as long as thirteen minutes, sees Erik influenced by movie music, maybe some Philip Glass but also another pianist from the past of the same name... Erik Satie. The pieces are very lyrical and dynamic. They explore many different moods and as a first opus, open up a wide range of possible avenues for Erik's music and future efforts.

If you listen to the track in the video on his page, the resemblance to Satie is even more apparent. This new track and many others have been honed over the years and will be released by the end of 2012 on Erik's next album. If you want to share Erik's talent, click on this page and then hit the share icon. You will be able to share the page on all your favorite social medias and with everyone you want.

Eric's first album is a smooth blend of world ("Dussavu Dueni", "Timeless") and modern rock music ("Hold On", "I'm An Immigrant") that can only be passion music. His use of world instruments and world beats delivers fresh sounds to the ears that can only be described as an auditory orgasm. Eric's lyrics are a message of trials overcome and the joys that follow. It pulls on the listener's heart strings!

This album is a sweet addition to the Mad Ducks line up. It has contributions from such Mad Ducks veterans as Xavier Chasseuil on acoustic guitar ("We Will Meet Again") and Cedric Theys on bass, guitars and keys. Terrance Ballard, of Corey Butler fame, is there too to add the backbeat with his magic finger touch on hand percussion and the drum kit. Anne Coumont adds cello on "From The Dawn Of Age".

This album lives up to its name, Continuum. It extends in the past, the present and the future! And this album will be set to loop mode on your CD or mp3 players! Time will tell that this album will last for the Continuum.

In mid 2010, Corey's long time friend, drummer Terrance Ballard started organizing a way to record a new album from multiple locations in the US. With this vision in mind, Corey was put in contact with Cedric Theys. And Corey Butler’s second album came to fruition. It is a mix of upbeat songs such as "Dwelling" and "Not Tonight" as well as soothing melodic pieces such as the beautiful haunting "Afghan" and the slow title track "Sweet Release".

Sweet Release is Corey's second opus. Everything was recorded in house in a very relaxing environment. After a short time with the music, Cedric was able to lay down just the right bass lines for every song. Terrance Ballard is back in full force on drums and percussion and to wrap up the album, Terrance found a violinist for Corey. Sarah Husbands went into the studio to add what was completely unexpected and give some of the songs a new melodic perspective. The end result is an album with wonderful structure, vocal warmth, complex percussion and drums, jazzy bass lines and a sweet melody to top things off.

This album has two tones depending on your mood; an energetic vibe with the full band playing the songs and a mellow version of B sides with Corey playing the songs acoustically giving you that intimate feel.

We are sure that the listener will find this album very pleasing to their ears and with the help of Mad Duck Records this album is sure to reach people all over the world.

Corey released this self titled first album back in 2006. After getting his feet wet with a full on rock band, he decided that he needed to put his own project in place: his voice and his acoustic guitar. He had a lot of songs to pick from since he had been writing from a young age. There's already an appearance from his drummer friend, Terrance Ballard, who helped put in motion Corey's second album. Other musicians accompanied him when available. Corey extensively toured outside Houston in the South and West of the US, bringing to audiences his songs of love, deceit and hope.

This album has hard rocking songs such as "Memories" and "Screams", as well as more intimate songs with Corey singing and playing guitar such as "Out Of Tune" and "Brother".

Suns of the Tide is a microcosm experiment of the eastern philosophy thought of the splendor of NOW. It is an inspiration to inspiration. This improvisational album is the final product of not two right minds but three not too right minds.

The project puts three musicians with different styles and training into the recording studio without ever practicing a note together. This improvisational project includes Fletcher Stafford, with his pipes and whining axe styling, Cedric Theys, with his melodic bass riffing, and DJ Lion-O, beat-dropper and ambient synth maker extraordinaire. They fuse together compositions without any forethought or preconception of the end result. This album was created from raw emotions, open minds, and listening third ears. The songs are from both ends of the spectrum, from slow sad songs, like "All Gone:, to dance thumpin' instrumentals, like "Dance of the Viking", leaving the listener sailing an ocean, on which the waves are controlled by Suns of the Tide.

I once heard a wise man say, "Art is the doorway to the artist's soul"...

'I', the first solo opus by the eldest Theys' son, is no exception to this adage. 'I' is a conglomeration of works that have been simmering and stewing in Cedric's mind for eight years and slowly nurtured to their culmination in 2009, only to be served to the ears of the listener as a five course explosion of a rollercoaster of emotions from the slow melodic "The Grand Pianissimo" that leaves you wanting for the next sardonic note, to the heart pumpin' "Enter The Machine", to the spacey ambient tributes to Pierre Henry.

One cannot leave the table of this musical feast without knowing the essence of Cedric simply as 'I'!

DJ Lion-O’s third opus... Altered is another divergence from his previous material. He approached the creative process from a different vantage point composing soundscapes, which bequeaths the listener the opportunity to appreciate each instrument for its own contribution to the piece. In this ambient work you reach the pinnacle of the greatness of silence only to be introduced to the glory of banging noise.

This album is meant to be listened to in an altered state of mind or to be lightly played in the background to clanging wine glasses over the cheers of witty banter claiming to resolve the worlds ills while breaking bread. The name of each song is a tribute to an artist of a particular art form and is meant to inspire you to contribute to creation by continually creating new art in whatever discipline the muses decide to whisper in your ear. As an example, "The Many Faces of Stanley" is a tribute to the film director Stanley Kubrick; "Salvador's Ghost" is the tribute to the great painter Salvador Dali.

DJ Lion-O’s second opus is a departure from his freshman album. It is a beat-based instrumental piece that fills the ears with emotional sounds that would make a schizophrenic sit in the lotus position, close his eyes, and chant AUM (such as in "Namaste"). The Euro electroish compositions will take the listener on a psychedelic trip where seatbelts are required. The poppin’ kick drum and fluid transitions are not for the faint of heart. You'll hear that in "Cafe Amore" and "Pet Your Pet" just to name a couple!

DJ Lion-O composed this work during a very dark time in his life but took the trials and turned them into prevailing victories. This album is meant to be an inspiration for all who dare to listen, to be encouraged to endure to the end when the breath of a lion’s roar blows on your face.

DJ Lion-O’s debut album 'Dirty Desires' will make you want to dust off your old parachute pants and synchronicity t-shirt. It has all the elements that we all loved about the eighties mixed in with today’s alt-techno-rock (Fatboy Slim, Gorrilaz). The album was conceived from lyrics left over from a previous classic rockesque project called The Soarce. The signature songs of this album include names like 'Stripper Girl', 'Cockfidence', 'Roman Orgy', and 'Eightball Queen'. With catchy hooks like “There’s something about sex, it makes good sense, it gives you Cockfidence” and “She’s not picky, not at all, she likes boys, she likes girls, she likes them all to taste her fruit, so come one, so come all, come kiss the Eightball Queen”, this album makes a social statement that depicts the highs and lows of feeding your addictions, whatever they may be.

The beats and synths were programmed on computer. With its sweet analog sounds you would almost think that the old Dep. Mode had been cloned and released a new CD! Not to mention the tangy belts from the vox that consistently remind you of the Mode and Talking Heads. It was as if they had an illegitimate love child and called him Jeff. To top off this crème de la crème, Cedric, producer of all Mad Ducks Records masterpieces, added in guitar, bass, and Chapman stick to complete these songs with rhythms and solos that give each song a signature sound.

'Dirty Desires' has a range of feels from dance grooves to ambient. No matter what your style, you will find something you will want to listen to repeatedly, constantly, for ever!

Alban and Cedric collaborated on this album from across the Atlantic, each on one side of the ocean... the beauty of the Internet! With many songs created on the computer, both believed that the music needed some live instruments. Alban overdubbed some drums while on vacation and Cedric added a bunch of guitars, basses and Stick. They then edited and mixed the music separately, sending the files over the wires below the deep waters.

After reading a book on how some doctors had worked on regenerating brain cells on WWI soldiers right after the war, Alban thought the music fitted perfectly the idea of the brain degenerating and then... regenerating. And so all the titles were changed and the songs put in an order that would suggest that. So is it regenerating or degenerating? You be the judge of that.

This music was never played live but it begs to! You'll hear here the trademark sounds of the Theys' brothers in the long tracks suck as "The Darkness Falls" and "Dance of The Electrodes" but also drum and bass in "Hammering Synapses" and ambient sounds in "Out On A Blue Lake".

Some say this album sounds like a penguin on acid eating jalapenos through his nostrils while manipulating a power-hammer and tap dancing to the beat of drum & bass, all that while being lost in the Sahara desert… is that a good description?

After hearing it for the first time, DJ Lion-O said Re-De-Generation is a recelebration of the beauty of sound.

4Element is back with their second opus and maybe the last one… for now. After changes in musicians and several years of churning the melodies and rhythms to get to the Holy Grail of sounds, 4Element presents Duplicity with artwork that already expresses the music within.

Duplicity is the perfect name for this album. As the songs stream through the ears and tantalize the mind, the listener can feel the angst and struggle of the band. A dyad of anger, frustration, and confusion as the heavy symphonic riffs and beats hit the street while the slow melodic pains make the listener strain for more. The machines are showing their faces. Prog, electronics, metal, pop are all intertwined to reveal the band's intent.

The name also represents the two different groups of people who created this music over the years with different visions, different passions. Maybe it also shows the dual side of some of us? The band gets more political, more insane, more aggressive, more melancholy and serious.

You will find a live version of their anthem concert song ‘Mid-century sky jump’ as well as some real gem as in the almost lost composition, ‘Groovenation’. A life has not lived until they sit down with a bottle of wine and some fine cheese while closing their eyes, leaning back, freeing their mind to the essence of being part of ‘Groovenation’. Duplicity is an album for listeners... listeners of the universe, the world, and themselves.

If you are in a strange place and you're not sure of your state of mind, pick up Duplicity. You will feel right at home! And it may give you answers to many of your questions...

After moving back to France and leaving 4Element behind in the US, and while looking for some people to play with, Alban dove into electronics and what the computer could do. He had already started playing with drum machines and electronic pads in 4Element but his time alone allowed him to explore this world in its deepest, darkest corners. iMachination is the first try at what can be done with the exclusive of a computer... and a human brain!

After a couple of years of long hours and hard work, the very polished iMachination was finally out. It mixes many genres of electronic music with Alban's unique approach to rhythms and melodies. There's also his distinct humor and love for the concept album. There's always so much music can say even with no words!

This album aches to be listened to over and over. There are so many different sides to the music and there are always new things luminously appearing after yet another spin. Delve into songs such as "Emotional Disturbance" or "Catalaunique Fields" and use your imachination!

It is a rare thing to find a band that is influenced by so many different genres and has the ability to show them in one album. 4Element is such a band and Living Spirit is such an album. Throughout the album you feel you are relaxing over a drink at a jazz bar only to be softly transitioned into a hard edged heavy metal melody that trashes you around the room.

The album opens with a soft edged bass riff and a melodic guitar that is remnant of jazz ("Ducks On The Wall"). It then tackles subjects as varied as love ("Corvette Amazon"), big media propaganda ("Fake Talk"), warped mind ("Insane Madness") and a child's abandonment ("Father's Day"). And in the middle of all that there is a good dose of instrumentals ("Mid Century Sky Jump" & "Season") to let your mind fly through the ether.

Not to beat a dead horse but every instrument in this French quartet is played as a melody instrument. That is what makes this album so pleasurable to the ears. You can tell that 4Element prides itself on dynamics, beautiful melodies and massive sound for good measure. They have good reasons to pull their chest up towards the sky. This is definitely the album for the living spirit that listens to music deeply with their mind and heart wide open.
